Home & Garden Thursday: 5th Thursday – Anything Goes

As Summer is just a few weeks away and it already ‘feels’ like summer here in Georgia, I am going to adopt a lighter version of

Blogging and Party Hosting.

I think it may become ‘the way to be’ for me. Blogging has been such a joy, but I have confused some with the ‘guidelines’ and party schedule that we’re going on vacation!

I appreciate you all who visit and participate demonstrating the utmost in courtesy and kindness.

At A Delightsome Life I want to maintain a welcoming, relaxing and kind atmosphere so that you truly enjoy your visit, that you leave inspired and encouraged.

Therefore, the party guidelines are loosened – share anything you want your home decor, gardens, projects, recipes, musings etc…any time you want. I understand completely those who maintain certain parameters for their party – it is their home and they can blog as they wish –

gifts or mom

I understand both sides of this coin –

Blogging, for me, is an opportunity to share and to express – this party is just like inviting you to my home – I don’t give you rules to come – just come bring your interesting self, mingle and get to know one another. All I ask is to be kind and courteous to one another – also, please do link back to this blog so others may find and join in the party.

I’ll adopt the K.I.S.S. principle – keep it simple sweetie!

I wanted to share with you a gift I received from Nana Diana – she’s so dear – she was giving away these darling plates to those who had a child born in the year on the plate – my son was born in 1986 so I won it! I placed it before his picture on my writing desk and a rose before it – a Mother’s Day gift from him last year.

Thank you so much Diana – he loves it!

This morning I shared with you updates in our Family Room where Comfort is Key.

I showed you the fabulous area rug my daughter found for me at an amazing price!

I shared my tribute to Frances Hodgson Burnett’s A Secret Garden by honoring Martha’s and Dickon’s mother with my ‘tea’ rendition.

Now, onto the highlights from last week’s party:

Patti of Ivy and Elephants shared a most Delightsome collection of Victorian sweet containers – one being a honey server in the shape of a bee – I am enamored with this one! Also Patti and Paula host a lovely party on Wednesdays called, ‘What’s It Wednesday’.

Could you settle for ordinary potato salad after seeing and perhaps trying this Cold Cous Cous salad prepared by at Jackie at Pleasures in Simple Things? This looks so fresh and fabulous – perfect for summer.

Laurie at Heaven’s Walk shared a couple fabulous posts – you should take a stroll in her Heavenly garden and check out the wonderful French style trays she created out of old drawers.

Thank you so much for your visit.

Nann of At Nann’s Table shared an exquisite and elegant tablescape in black and pink – all set to celebrate a birthday – the soft pink detail and the Parisian influence is wonderful.
