Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from John 3:16-21. I continuously drill into my children, every person wants to be loved, valued, and to feel important. We can not replace God and His love for someone, but we can reflect the God of love!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
God promises us, love!
Love by definition gives and brings the receiver great benefit and value. The act of love (because love is a verb) places the needs of someone else before our wants. A husband and wife sacrifice each other’s personal desires each day. They give the other what is needed to edify and build each other up.
God gives the greatest demonstration of love. Jesus actually came to earth to pay the ultimate sacrifice for His creation, the ones that He loves.
The promise from our God and Father is that He will love us with eternal and pure love. There is no love that we can experience like that of our creator. The Lord of heaven and earth will give everything for our love’s sake.
Let’s Pray
Dear Father,
Thank you Father that You are the one that love’s us like no other. Help me to be the hands and feet of You, loving others from the overflowing amounts of You.
In Jesus’ Name,
