Daily Devotional – In God’s Hands

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Deuteronomy 32:39. Here, included in this song of deliverance, we see a gracious reminder of the power of God, the judgment of God, and the promise of God.

“See now that I myself am he!
    There is no god besides me.
I put to death and I bring to life,
    I have wounded and I will heal,
    and no one can deliver out of my hand.“

Holding it ALL in place

He makes it clear to the recipient of this verse, that He is the only one and true God. We cannot overlook His omnipotence to give life or take it away. Moreover, He reminds those who belong to Him, that no one can take them out from under His hand of mercy and protection.

God assures us in His word, that He is in control, that He holds our future, and that He is watching over us to lead and guide us in the right direction. Therefore, rejoice today, accept and believe that God has you in His hand.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your great mercy. I confess that you are my savior and deliverer. I choose to trust you for my future. I choose to trust you for my health. I choose to trust you as my protector. Help me now to believe in my heart and my head. Help me now, to release all these fears that have held me captive.
