Welcome to Home and Garden Thursday

4th Week – Thrifting

We’re at the end of October and knocking on the door of
November, the year is quickly coming to an end! So
much to do these next few days and weeks.
I hope you all are well – especially those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Autumn days can mean trips to the orchard, to the mountains and to county and country fairs.
I attended Country Living Fair at Stone Mountain, Georgia last week. It was one of those perfect autumn days -wavering between cool and warm with a bright, clear, blue sky. I saw a lot of the same vendors with a few new and quite a lot of beautiful things.

I just love candles and am amazed at AirWick’s new

fall scents for your home
Color Changing Candle – they’ve offered me the opportunity
to review one and to offer one as a giveaway!
As the winds were howling here in Georgia, I took a moment

to enjoy a lovely autumnal lunch and to read some wonderful poems and quotes.
How was your week? I do appreciate all who visit and who
participate in Home and Garden Thursday.
Here are the Highlights from last week’s party:
Beautifully delicious, deceptively simple. This is the cake created by Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage.
I am pleased to announce that she is hosting a new blog party: HOME. You can link up on Wednesdays!
What to put on one’s kitchen island can be a very interesting discussion.

Just what do you put on – decorative items or necessary items.
How then do you keep it from looking cluttered.
At The Other Me Is Sane you’ll find some lovely solution to this dilemma.
Finding great pieces of furniture at bargain prices is such a thrill. Making

them your own with paint is just an added blessing. Love the transformations
and the lines to these two tables at Big Family Small Apartment.
Since I have had my new computer, I have now been able to use PicMonkey to edit photos and to

create collages – love their very many options and the ability to adjust them.
Marty at A Stroll Thru Life shares a lovely tutorial on how she made her beautiful header!
Honorable Mention:

There are so many of you who are incredibly talented and have a good eye for decor.
Betsy Speert is just one of those – she turns out incredible posts on decor and tutorials that make you think you can do it!
This tuturial on upholstering a chair is fantastic – beautifully done!
Gracious! There are so many wonderful posts shared each week.
I hope you take opportunity to go back and to catch up on the ones you’ve missed.
