Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Isaiah 44:21-23. God has done all the leg work. He has swept our sins away from us as far as the east is from the west. There is no barrier that resists us from receiving redemption.
“Remember these things, Jacob,
for you, Israel, are my servant.
I have made you, you are my servant;
Israel, I will not forget you.
22 I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you.”
God has called us to return to Him
The redeeming love of God is the most powerful emotion and fact throughout the entire universe. When you consider all that God overcame and conquered because of His love for us, how can we not be filled with awe of its power?
God did not forget His creation. In all the turmoil caused by sin, our Father took an action to end the curse and redeem His children. Through Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross, God has made it possible for our sin to dissolve right before us.
Let us consider the freedom that Jesus has purchased for us. As we consider the lack of things holding us down and bound up, let us shout for joy! Let us praise God with our thanksgiving as we enter His courts and presence.
Let’s Pray
Dear Father,
Thank you for creating me in Your image. Display Your glory and might in life today Lord as I speak to all that I see about how You have redeemed each one of us!
Amen
