Daily Devotional – Rejoice in God’s Promises

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Job 8: 20-22. Yesterday we focused on living in the moment. Living with our eyes fixed on God. As we focus on our savior, we focus on His promises. Jesus has promised to never leave us and to return for His bride.

“Surely God does not reject one who is blameless
or strengthen the hands of evildoers.
21 He will yet fill your mouth with laughter
and your lips with shouts of joy.
22 Your enemies will be clothed in shame,
and the tents of the wicked will be no more.”

Focusing on the promises!

God has always been at work, is presently working and will bring His plans and purposes to fruition. We tend to need to look in the review mirror to see God’s glory. While looking back can encourage us to place our faith in God, we need to be conscious of God’s promises for our future.

fall scents for your home

There is much for God to do and fulfill in our lives individually and the church His bride. God has promised that Jesus will return for a bride that is pure a spotless.

As much as God has purposes for us individually, what role are you playing in assisting the church? Not only should you prepare yourself, but are you looking at the rest of the church? Start today with the additional time you have to pray and connect with others in the church. Let’s all work on the bride for our groom and savior!

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Forgive me, God, for taking my mind and eyes off of Your promises. You have given us so many promises and I want to look forward to Your plans and promises. Today I come before You and stand on Your word and promises. Prepare Your church and bride, start with me!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
