4 Steps To Lasting Weight Loss in 2012

By Jill Rodriguez –

I would love to share a few tools you must have in place to gain and keep momentum to lose weight once and for all. Don’t just read these 4 steps, take them to heart, marinate, and put them in place. Use these tools to turn your weight loss efforts around and don’t settle for anything else. Take the time for yourself. Stop everything around you and focus on these 4 steps.

1.  Get Clear & Focused – Know exactly what you want and write it down. It is said that Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows. This means be precise and compelling so you are determined to follow through. One of my secret tips is to use the Fitbook™ which is a fitness journal that offers page by page guidance to help you get clear and focused.

2.  Get A Proven Plan – Don’t do what you’ve always done. The days of dieting are over! At this point in your life there is no room for deprivation. Getting out of your comfort zone is necessary for change but a strict and brutal regimen of any kind is unrealistic. Be sure to sign up for updates to my blog to stay abreast of current nutrition and fitness strategies for weight loss.

3.  Get A Successful Partner – One of my favorite weight loss strategies is to exercise with friends. What could be more fun than training with your best buds? Research proves that training with friends improves adherence to a program and adds a touch of friendly competition to challenge you more than you would yourself. Be sure to pick a successful partner. You want to meet someone who does not miss their workouts for anything. If it’s easy to suggest a trip to the coffee shop instead of the gym, you need to choose someone more committed to their goals.

4.  Get Going – Okay, you have a plan. It is time to put it in to action. Not just today, consistently. You must come first.

Strength & Love,

Jill
